Windshield Replacement FAQ | Pure Auto Glass — Fort Collins & Northern Colorado

Question 1

How long does a windshield replacement take?

Accepted Answer

Most replacements are done in 45–60 minutes. We use fast-cure urethane adhesive, so your vehicle is drive-away safe within an hour of completion. Chip and crack repairs are even faster — typically 20–30 minutes.

Question 2

Do I have to bring my vehicle to a shop?

Accepted Answer

Never. We're 100% mobile. We come to your home, office, job site, or wherever your vehicle is parked. If you can tell us a location, we can be there.

Question 3

What areas do you serve?

Accepted Answer

We cover the North Colorado Front Range — Fort Collins, Greeley, Loveland, Windsor, Longmont, and surrounding communities. Not sure if we reach you? Call and we'll confirm in 30 seconds.

Question 4

How quickly can you schedule an appointment?

Accepted Answer

Most appointments are available within 24–48 hours, Monday through Saturday. We do our best to work around your schedule — just call or text us and we'll find the earliest available slot. We know a cracked windshield isn't something you want to sit on.

Question 5

Do you work with insurance?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We bill all major insurance providers directly and handle the paperwork on your behalf. You won't need to chase down claim forms or deal with back-and-forth between us and your insurer.

Question 6

Will I have to pay anything out of pocket?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your coverage. Chip and crack repairs are often fully covered at zero cost to you under comprehensive coverage — no deductible. Full windshield replacements may involve a deductible depending on your policy. We'll walk you through it before we start.

Question 7

Which insurance companies do you work with?

Accepted Answer

We work with all major carriers — State Farm, GEICO, Progressive, Allstate, USAA, Farmers, and more. If you have comprehensive coverage, we can almost certainly bill them directly.

Question 8

Can I use insurance for a chip repair?

Accepted Answer

In most cases, yes — and it won't raise your rates. Most comprehensive policies cover chip repairs at no cost to you because it's cheaper for the insurer than a full replacement. We recommend using it.

Question 9

What kind of glass do you use?

Accepted Answer

We use OEM and OEE-quality glass that meets or exceeds the original manufacturer's specifications. We don't cut corners with bargain aftermarket parts — your windshield is a structural safety component and we treat it that way.

Question 10

Do you offer a warranty?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every installation comes with a warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. If something isn't right with the glass or the installation, we'll make it right — no argument, no hassle.

Question 11

What about ADAS recalibration?

Accepted Answer

Many modern vehicles have cameras and sensors mounted to the windshield — lane departure, automatic braking, and similar systems. If your vehicle requires recalibration after a replacement, we offer that service. We'll let you know upfront if your vehicle needs it.

Question 12

How do I know if my chip can be repaired vs. replaced?

Accepted Answer

Generally, chips up to 1 inch in diameter and cracks up to 6 inches can be repaired. Larger damage, damage in the driver's direct line of sight, or damage at the edge of the glass typically requires full replacement. When you call, describe what you're seeing and we'll give you an honest assessment.
